August opened in style with a Japanese extravaganza on 9th August 2019! We were honoured to have renowned expert Datin Ong Kid Ching in the house to impart the mysterious art of ikebana floristry and origami to delighted guests. The workshop was followed by a sumptious Japanese luncheon of teriyaki and karaage chicken, edamame, salad, matcha cakes, and green tea prepared by the Y Cafe and the amazing ladies of the Event Committee, and ended with a prize raffle of Datin Kid Ching's rare creations. The event was attended by a representative of the Japanese Embassy to partake in the cultural celebration.
Proceeds from the event went to the Vocational Training Opportunity Centre.
