Jan 18, 2019 : The Pilot Program for Incl.My in collaboration with the YWCA KL/VTOC kicked off with a group of 25 students. The program aims to serve youth from welfare homes via regular enrichment sessions which teach life skills, and is held fortnightly.

5th September 2019 - Excited to receive a precious vintage bicycle donation from eminent cyclist Jeffrey Lim (Jeff rode it all the way from Brickfields to YWCA KL! *gasp*) A refurbished old-fashioned ladie's bicycle, it is a Malaysian-made, hailing from the 1950's and features parts which are no longer available, a truly rare item and the last of his collection. Thank you Jeff! We have christened it "Lady" and are proud to be it's new home.

22nd August 2019 - The Passion Pool project involves connecting our VTOC students with internship and job opportunities during their studies to supplement their education and gain real-world experience. Our latest partnership sees two of our culinary students having fun making tacos at RexKL.

12th August 2019 - A Women's Self Defense class was organised in collaboration with Mingle Hostel and taught by Master Alvin Chong, founder of the Borneo Combat Gym in Labuan, East Malaysia and who specialises in both ancient and contemporary martial arts. The session was both fun and practical, and imparting simple moves and techniques and important information about how to respond in different situations. August opened in style with a Japanese extravaganza on 9th August 2019! We were honoured to have renowned expert Datin Ong Kid Ching in the house to impart the mysterious art of ikebana floristry and origami to delighted guests. 25th July 2019 - Brought our Sewing & Tailoring class to the Louis Vuitton Time Capsule exhibition at KLCC to learn about creativity, fashion and craftsmanship. After the visit we managed to sneak in some fun at the Dior beach-club-themed Instagram Booth!

23rd July 2019 - The English Breakfast Tea program was started as a tea session between volunteers and VTOC students to develop conversational English. It's finally here! The Y Pop-Up Salon - our latest project in line with 2019's focus to expand upon the social enterprise efforts for the VTOC courses. Managed by VTOC graduates Karti and Sylvia, the Y Pop-Up Salon is an avenue for VTOC students of the Hairdressing & Beautycare course to gain industry exposure and experience to supplement their training.
