20th July 2019 - We were privileged to have Melissa, founder of The Quirky Taste, a cake specialist brand, to teach our students how to make cakesicles. The students had loads of fun learning how to make and decorate their cute little creations. 6th July 2019 - We brought our students to the KL Bird Park over the weekend, where they had a blast learning about birds and nature.

3 July 2019: July opened with yet another successful event collaboration with the Y Cafe and this time, the dynamic duo Juwita Suwito and Gina Yap, the founders of travelog Songs & Stories. We are eternally grateful to the Zenzero Group for providing a cooking demonstration and lunch for a fundraising event for our VTOC. It was an enlightening afternoon with cheerful company and great food by Chef Christian and Roberto Guiati which included a short tour of our urban farm, cooking demonstration of various pizzas and pastas which involved our VTOC Culinary students, and a sumptuous lunch in an Italian-inspired setting at the YWCA Hall.

We are excited to see young people like Hemasankarry, a 21-year-old content creator conduct a workshop where students could experiment on tropical-themed food decoration for our VTOC Culinary Students, as part of their education in the culinary arts while sharing about her experiences in setting up a food business despite her young age. April 12 saw an exciting study tour to Mingle Cafe for our VTOC Culinary & Bakery Students. We were blessed to have Chef Tariq give some insight and advice for those starting out in the F&B industry - in return we brought a gift of vegetables harvested from our Urban Farm! 2019's VR Program focused on building values for a good foundation towards success and a fulfilling life. The theme for April's VR program was someone everyone can relate to : 'Love'.
